“Dr. Parker has been so important to our program,” said Dr. Walter Butler, president of Bethel University. “Her love for the nursing profession is so evident as she helps the profession grow through our students.”
Parker has been a faculty member with the program since 2011 and has been serving as the interim director of the nursing program. She holds a doctorate of nursing practice with an executive leadership emphasis from Union University and both her bachelor and master’s degrees from Florida State. She currently resides in Lexington with her husband.
“My goal as the director of nursing at Bethel University is to lead the faculty to educate our
students to care for each other, patients, and the communities they serve with compassion, empathy,” said Parker.
She believes that by expecting all Bethel nursing students and graduates to uphold the mission of the College and Health Sciences and exemplify Christian values, graduates will achieve both personal and professional success.
“Dr. Parker has been able to make a seamless transition into her role as program director,” said Dr. Joseph Hames, vice president for the College of Health Sciences. “She brings a wealth of experience to the position and truly loves Bethel, the nursing profession, the students and the Lord Jesus. I have complete confidence in her ability to lead the nursing program.”
