MCKENZIE, Tenn. May 8, 2021 - Bethel University celebrated 672 students who earned a degree during the fall 2020 and spring 2021 semesters. On Saturday, May 8, over 380 of those students walked the stage at the commencement ceremony held at Wildcat Stadium. The Honorable Ben Cantrell delivered the commencement address.

Fall commencement was originally scheduled in December but was postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Judge Cantrell encouraged the graduates on this special day. He said, “I believe in the future of this country, and I believe in it because of you. You and thousands others like you across this country are graduating today. You are healthier, better educated than generations before you. I believe more of you and your generation really believe in the brotherhood of mankind and that we are all created equal.”

"We celebrate our graduates and future leaders," said Bethel University President Dr. Walter Butler. "These students have persevered, adapted and served through hard times—they are ready for the next step. Congratulations, Bethel graduates.”
