Why Choose Bethel for Your LPN to BSN?
The purpose of the LPN to BSN program is to serve the working LPN who is ready to take on the role of a Registered Nurse through a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. We built this program around what you already bring to the table. Your hands-on patient experience, your understanding of the care setting, and your knowledge of how healthcare really works are the foundation we build on as you grow into the full scope of professional nursing.
Bethel University has a proud tradition of graduating outstanding nurses who are recruited for their skill, compassion, and leadership. As a student here, you can count on us to do everything we can to help you become one of them.
Built Around the Way You Learn
Bethel nursing faculty approach education as a collaborative effort, and every student gets the support needed to succeed. Learning happens in three connected stages. You start by working through material on your own. You deepen that understanding through interactive discussion with faculty and classmates. Then you put it into practice, first in the nursing lab and then at the bedside, applying what you have learned under the guidance of experienced faculty until you have the confidence and competence to deliver safe, evidence-based care.
This is not a program where you are a number. It is a close community where faculty know your name, know your goals, and walk alongside you from your first course to the day you sit for the NCLEX.
A Hybrid Program That Fits a Working Life
You do not have to choose between your job and your degree. Most of the didactic coursework in the LPN to BSN program is delivered online, so you can study on a schedule that works around your shifts. On-campus intensives during the semester bring you together with faculty and classmates for the hands-on, in-person learning that nursing requires. It is the best of both: the flexibility of online study and the depth of face-to-face instruction.
Clinicals Where You Are
Your clinical experience does not require you to relocate or commute across the state. The program is designed so you can complete clinical hours in your own community, close to where you live and work. That freedom is one of the things that makes this program a real fit for adult learners who are already established in a place and a career.
No Prior College Credit Required
This is what sets Bethel apart. Many LPN to BSN pathways assume you already hold an associate degree or that you will transfer in a stack of college credits before you can begin. At Bethel, you can start with your LPN license and no prior college coursework at all. You complete your general education, your nursing prerequisites, and your nursing major all in one place, on one clear path to a four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
For an LPN who never had the chance to take college courses, that means a true start-to-finish route to the RN role and the BSN credential, without having to piece a degree together first.
A Bachelor's Degree Within Reach
At $400 per credit hour, Bethel's LPN to BSN program is a strong value among private universities. A BSN is increasingly the standard employers look for, and earning it should not mean taking on more than you can manage. We have priced this program so that advancing your career and your earning potential stays realistic.
What You’ll Learn
Your education blends online study, lab practice, and hands-on clinical experience so that you graduate confident in your skills and ready to provide compassionate, evidence-based care. The full degree is built in two parts: the general education and prerequisite foundation of 60 credit hours, followed by the 63-credit-hour nursing major, which together form a complete four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
The nursing coursework moves through four semesters and a final practicum, building from foundational concepts to advanced practice, with most courses delivered online or in a hybrid format and clinical experiences along the way.
