Advisor/Registration Clerk

Purpose of Position and Scope of Responsibility: The Advisor / Registration Clerk is responsible for communicating with students by defining and implementing a plan to assist them as they work toward fulfilling their educational goals. Resolving student concerns to ensure the overall educational experience is effective and efficient. Manage student course registrations, drops, withdrawals, and other record maintenance. Work within the registration team to resolve registration-related issues and maintain registration data and records. Other duties may be assigned.

Under the general direction of:  Executive Vice President

Under the direct supervision of: Director of Operations

Responsible for 1 shift, 8 hours/day, 5 days/week. Incumbents are subject to callback as deemed necessary.

Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

1. Advise students on policies and procedures according to the University catalog

2. Advise students on degree requirements as well as course and concentration selection

3. Monitor student balances and/or billing issues

4. Track student GPAs. 

5. Ensure all academic requirements are met for graduation applicants

6. Process registration for all students within the College of Professional Studies    

7. Maintain Special Offering classes/enrollment on registration Sheets

8. Maintain withdrawal list

9. Performs related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed.

Bachelor’s Degree

 

Sense of urgency, attention to detail, strong oral, written, and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

Work requires little or no physical effort. Lifting or performing other work requiring light physical exertion (up to 30 pounds) is intermittent (not a routine part of the job) and secondary to the job.

Environmental Conditions:

Work is performed under basically normal working conditions as in a standard office environment.
