Credentialing Specialist
Purpose of Position and Scope of Responsibility:
Assist the Clinical Department with the administrative aspects of the credentialing process for students with healthcare entities and qualification process for preceptors. Primary responsibilities include coordinating the credentialing process with healthcare entities, clinical department and university and maintaining preceptor files.
Under the general direction of the Clinical Director
Under the direct supervision of the Recruitment Associate Director
responsible for 1 shift, 8 hours/day, 5 days/week. Incumbents are subject to callback as deemed necessary.
Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
1. Perform duties in accordance with the philosophy, policies and procedures of the program.
2. Assist the Program Director with ARC-PA Compliance.
3. Establish and maintain affiliation agreements with preceptors and affiliated institutions.
4. Assist the Clinical Director with ARC-PA portal (SCPE Tab) with up-to-date preceptor and institution affiliation agreements and active status.
5. Participate in ongoing and periodic program self-assessment.
6. Ensures/maintains the confidentiality of student information.
7. Maintains clinical student and program liability insurance documentation.
8. Manages clinical student’s background check process, student drug screening process and immunization process.
9. Manages institutional credentialing process for clinical students.
10. Assists the Clinical Director with registration of second and third year clinical students.
11. Regularly attends all faculty and staff meetings and clinical department meetings.
12. Other duties assigned.

| Minimum Qualifications |
Knowledge/Education Experience
Licensure, Registration, Certification | High school diploma or equivalent. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Minimum 2-years’ experience in administrative office setting (health professions school preferred) N/A |

Licensure, Registration, Certification | Baccalaureate Degree or equivalent Learning Management System operations. Minimum 2 years experience in administrative setting N/A |
Physical Requirements:
Work requires the physical demands of standing, bending, lifting, stooping or performing other work requiring light physical exertion (up to 30 pounds) on an occasional basis (up to 15% of time) and frequent walking; or moderate physical exertion (up to 50 pounds) on an intermittent basis (not a routine part of the job).
Environmental Conditions:
Work is performed under basically normal working conditions as in a standard office environment.
