Men's Golf Head Coach- part time
Purpose of Position and Scope of Responsibility: The Men’s Golf Head Coach is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the men’s golf program, including student-athlete development, recruitment, practice and competition preparation, academic support, and program administration. The position promotes excellence in athletics, academics, sportsmanship, and personal growth while supporting the mission and values of the university.
Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- Planning, organizing, and conducting practices, training sessions, and competitions.
- Recruiting and retaining qualified student-athletes.
- Monitoring academic progress and promoting student-athlete success.
- Developing game strategies and individual player improvement plans.
- Managing team travel, scheduling, equipment, and budget responsibilities.
- Ensuring compliance with institutional, conference, and governing athletic association rules and regulations.
- Supervising assistant coaches, student workers, or volunteers, if applicable.
- Promoting positive public relations and community engagement for the golf program.
- Maintaining a safe and supportive environment for student-athletes.
- Supporting departmental goals and participating in athletic department activities and events.
- Performs related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed

5 years of experience as a high school/collegiate coach |
Physical Requirements:
Work requires moderate physical exertion (up to 50 pounds) on a continuous basis (over 50% of time); or heavy physical exertion (over 50 pounds) on a frequent basis (up to 50% of time).
Environmental Conditions:
Work involves frequent exposure to unpleasant working conditions or undesirable elements, may involve exposure to a variety of elements which are potentially hazardous or harmful which require exercise of well defined precautions for protection from injury or illness.
