Physician Assistant Program Policies & Procedures
Updated: November 7, 2025 (ARC-PA 6th Ed. Std.: A3.01, A3.08)
Clinical Site management is the responsibility of the Clinical Department in the PA Program. Students enrolled in the PA Program are not required to provide or solicit clinical sites or preceptors. Solicitation is defined as “the act of asking for or trying to obtain something from someone.” If a student has knowledge of a practitioner that is willing to become a preceptor, then the student may forward points of contact for known or affiliated practitioners that are willing to become a preceptor to the clinical department via phone, email, or completed Elective Rotation Request Form. The Clinical Director, who is responsible for monitoring the supervised clinical practice experiences of the students, will assign the information to members of the clinical department to initiate the Clinical Site/Preceptor Qualification process.
